The Journey of Mpbian
Mpbian, a name now synonymous with competitive job preparation in Bangladesh, began with a single, powerful vision from its founder, Mottasin Pahlovi. His goal was to build more than just a website; he wanted to create a platform that would transform the way students prepare for the BCS and other crucial exams.
At Shaitrish, we had the incredible opportunity to partner with Mottasin Bhaiya to turn his vision into a reality. Our journey wasn't just about writing code; it was a collaborative sprint, guided by his unwavering vision and our shared commitment to building something truly impactful. From day one, we worked as one team, adopting a flexible, agile approach that allowed us to quickly adapt, innovate, and bring Mpbian to life, one feature at a time.
Laying the Foundation: Courses and Management (2022)
Our story began in 2022, with the foundational building blocks. We knew a solid Course Management system was paramount. We started by building a robust framework that allowed instructors to effortlessly create and organize courses, modules, and lesson plans.

This laid the groundwork for everything that followed. Soon after, we developed a sophisticated Teaching Management system to handle the core logistics, from class schedules to course information. It was our first major step toward empowering educators and simplifying the learning process.

Expanding the Learning Ecosystem: Books & Digital Reading
With the core courses in place, we turned our attention to the next logical step: books. We implemented seamless Book Purchasing and PDF Reading features, giving students the power to:
- Browse and buy physical or digital books directly on the platform.
- Read essential PDFs and study materials without ever leaving the Mpbian ecosystem.
This move was a game-changer, integrating learning resources and making Mpbian a one-stop-shop for aspiring students.
The Launch: Scaling Up to Meet the Demand
When Mpbian finally launched, the response was explosive. User numbers soared far beyond our initial expectations, and with this rapid growth came a new, exhilarating challenge: scaling up the platform.
We quickly adapted our infrastructure to handle the massive increase in traffic, all while ensuring the user experience remained flawless. This scaling effort prepared us for one of our most ambitious projects yet: the Live Exam feature.
The Bijoy Bangla Puzzle
One of the biggest hurdles was the sheer volume of exam questions. Infinity Publications had hundreds of thousands of questions stored in the Bijoy Bangla format. The problem? Web platforms, particularly for Bangla, rely on Unicode.
The challenge was clear: we couldn't manually convert hundreds of thousands of questions. The solution? We built a powerful, custom-built parsing tool from the ground up. This tool not only automatically formatted bulk questions and their solutions but also converted them from Bijoy Bangla to Unicode with incredible speed and accuracy.
This technological breakthrough allowed us to build an enormous question bank in a fraction of the time, providing Mpbian with a massive competitive advantage.
Gamifying the Grind: Exam Packs & Ratings
With the question bank filled, we launched the Live Exam feature, followed by a new layer of engagement. We introduced:
Exam Interface
- Exam Packs: Bundled collections of live exams, making it easier for students to prepare for specific topics.
- A Ratings System: This allowed students to track their progress and performance over time.
But what truly resonated with users was the gamification of their progress. The simple joy of watching their performance graph rise after a good exam became a powerful motivator, turning the often-stressful process of exam preparation into a rewarding, engaging experience.
The Future Arrives: AI & Mobile (2024-2025)
Our journey continued to accelerate. In 2024, with the rise of Large Language Models (LLMs), we integrated AI directly into the platform. We developed Mpbian AI, an educational chatbot designed to be every student's personal assistant.

This AI bot was a game-changer, providing:
- Instant answers to course-related questions.
- A 24/7 helpline for students in need.
- The ability to solve complex math problems with detailed, step-by-step solutions.
The final piece of the puzzle arrived in 2025 with the launch of the Mpbian Mobile App on the Google Play Store.

This app took the learning experience to the next level, giving students the freedom to:
- Watch classes and read PDFs on the go.
- Take live and practice exams from anywhere.
- Access their saved, offline materials seamlessly.
